St. Joseph's Church II

Remember this post? Here's are more of the photos I promised. Many of the photos here are from 'restricted' areas of the Church. I only managed to get them as I was inspecting a leak from the main dome whilst cleaning the church. Now, this is what I call a true Catholic Church.

May I ask what are those 'gold tibetian bells' doing on top of SJC? Had seen it several times while passing by on a double-deck bus. Please help with the 'mystery'.

Well anon (if you're the same anon who has been leaving a string of comments lately), you could always travel back in time to kill Pope John XXIII- who dared open the doors and windows of the church he loved to the contemporary world- so that there wouldn't be a council that would possibly lead to change.

Perhaps the better question to ask is, why is there an electronic bell installed when they have several nice authentic good 'ole bells? I have heard both elsewhere and somehow still could recognize the artificial sound coming from the electronic version.

On weekdays, the electronic bells are used instead. Those who frequent St. Joe's will know that the Church is also dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, therefore, the electronic bells are sounded to resemble exactly those in Fatima (where Our Lady appeared).

I like it personally and don't think there's anything wrong with it.
